Mermaid Halloween Makeup
"Up where they walk..Up where they run.. up where they stay all day in the sun.. wondering free.. wish i could be.. part of you world"
Happy Halloween Eve !
So this year i was torn into what i wanted to be for halloween. It was between a mermaid and a lion/tiger. Well i decided that i wanted to be a lion/tiger the day of halloween. But i did not want my mermaid fantasy to go in vain.. so here it is!
AHH! This was so much fun to do. here is a quick break down of what i did to achieve this look:
-Apply your foundation, concealer, powder and bronzer as usual
- Now decide what colors you want to work with. i went with greens, blues and purple.
- I have this Kat Von D palette called Esperanza. Whenever i use this palette i feel like i am doing a mermaid look. On the lid i used Santeria, which is a dark glittery green. Then in the crease i mixed Archangel (mint green) and South (skin tone brown). As a brow and inner corner highlight, i used Dayglo. Which is also a transformer shade so i also dabbed it on the center of my lid. I then winged out my liner.
- Now the fun part the Scales ! I did one on the left upper side of my face and on the downside of the right part of my face. I used a navy gel liner and made little half circles until i had my desired scales. Then using my BH Cosmetics Eyes on the 60's palette, i took the dark green, light green, middle tone green, light blue and a mix of purples to fill in the scales one by one. After that i took some glitter eyeshadow and pressed it on some of the scales and also my cupids bow. Putting it on my cupids bow gives it a wet underwater type look. Which is very mermaid appropriate.
- I then used some Nyx Body Glitter on some parts of my face.
- i finished off the look with a clear lipgloss and there you have it!
i hope this inspires some of you! were you ever a mermaid on halloween?
was this look helpful?
what are YOU going to be for halloween?
Hope You ENJOY
